2008 Cabernet FrancOne of the major red grape varieties worldwide. It is generally grown for blending in the Bordeaux style wine, but can also be vinified alone, as in the wines from the Loire Valley in France.
Cabernet Franc makes a bright red wine, and contributes finesse. Aromas can include pepper, tobacco, raspberry, violets and cassis, sometimes even perfume to blends with more robust grapes.
Matches well with Prime Rib and Beef Stew.
