Casa Dea - Cabernet Franc

2008 Cabernet Franc

One of the major red grape varieties worldwide. It is generally grown for blending in the Bordeaux style wine, but can also be vinified alone, as in the wines from the Loire Valley in France.

Cabernet Franc makes a bright red wine, and contributes finesse. Aromas can include pepper, tobacco, raspberry, violets and cassis, sometimes even perfume to blends with more robust grapes.

Matches well with Prime Rib and Beef Stew.

The Grange - Cabernet Franc

2007 Trumpour’s Mill Cabernet Franc VQA

A ruby red dinner wine with a delicately spicy lemon pepper an cranberry nose. The sweet blackberry palate and soft oak tannins offer a lingering finish.

Serve with schnitzel or chicken cordon bleu. This wine may produce sediment over time.

The Grange - Cabernet Franc

2007 Northfield Cabernet Franc VQA

Bronze Medal, 2009 Cuvee Awards
Silver Medal, 2009 Canadian Wine Award

This wine surprised us all with the ripeness of the fruit and the wonderfully balanced structure, rich with secondary aromas of leather and cigar box. Only the exceptional barrels from this vintage were chosen for this wine.
